It it breaking my heart to see how some of God’s children are relaying how they believe Jesus would have responded during the “pandemic.” They say He would have wore a mask out of love, they say He would stick with social distancing, they say He would have sanitized His house thoroughly just in case, all for the good of others. They look at “how He would have responded” from a worldly perspective and not from a Heavenly, Kingdom perspective. I do not believe these people truly KNOW Jesus. I know people may read this and think, “You obviously do not,” but that’s ok. I know what I know.

In order for Jesus to do the things in which these people say, Jesus would have to NOT know His own identity! Jesus did not wear a mask, or protective clothing to save Himself or others from leprosy, nor did He send them away and social distance Himself from them. He HEALED THEM! People have argued about how those who were unclean in Biblical times were kept outside the camp for a time, or told to stay in their homes, and do not touch the unclean person. It was never said that those who
“might” be subject to leprosy must stay outside the camp for a time. It never quarantined the healthy ones and sent them out. NO! It sent out those who were unclean – only the sick stayed outside. When Jesus came, when healing came, they had to be bold and enter into the camp and seek Him out to be made whole. And let me tell you, He was not hiding inside His home hoping they wouldn’t find Him.

Let’s think about this…really think about this. There is a demon(s) of fear running rampant right now “infecting” the people. Would Jesus have bowed down to it and catered to the fear or would He have cast it out and spoke Truth to the people? Would Jesus just have bowed out until the “pandemic” had passed? Would He have given in to social distancing and quit preaching in the public square; in the synagogue, in the temple because there was a chance He might be a carrier of some infectious disease? Would He have avoided His mother and disciples because He was being “safe”? Healing made manifest, avoiding all forms of contact? The one Who put all sickness and disease under His feet – do you think He would conform to these rules and regulations that were put in place out of fear and through a spirit of control? Or, do you think He would stand up to these spirits and RESIST?

RISE UP CHURCH! If we continue to ignore what is going on and blindly follow along, we die. We lose our freedom and we die. If we go against the grain and stand firm, resisting the plots and plans of the enemy, and we go along with the Kingdom of Heaven, we live! Those who love their lives are the ones who lose it, and those who “care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity,” (John 12:25 NLT). I know it looks scary and painful, but we need to band together and go for it! Jesus will NEVER leave us or forsake us! He will continue to provide and protect. We do not retreat! We face these things head on, for if we retreat, we lose. If we face these things head on, we’re guaranteed the victory! Please! No more looking at what Jesus would do from a worldly perspective! Gain the perspective of Heaven! Love casts out demons. Love does not give in to control. Love is all powerful! Love is not afraid because perfect love casts out all fear! Jesus DIED for us! We were all carriers of an infectious disease called sin that spreads like yeast throughout dough. Thank God He remained in the Light! Thank God He remained out in the open and didn’t “distance” Himself from us, but He drew near to us. He didn’t go into hiding for us to stop the plague. He faced it head on. Aren’t you glad?! He KNEW His identity and the power and authority that He carried, and still carries!
