Infiltrate is a word that keeps coming to me over and over again this year. I see the body of Christ being prepared to INFILTRATE the various systems, the various kingdoms, within this world. No longer will we be content to sit behind the 4 walls of the church, cowering because of the increasing darkness on the outside, just holding on and waiting for the rapture to come, but we will begin to mobilize and strategically infiltrate the dark areas of society as a shining light.
Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the world.” If we continue to simply congregate within the church building, and keep to ourselves, we keep the rest of the world submerged in darkness. Many within the body of Christ have attempted to remove themselves from the world, forgetting that we are created to live in two different realms. They remove themselves from the physical realm based on the scriptures that say we are not of this world, attempting to only operate from the spiritual realm, and while they may see salvations, the world remains the same.
Jesus Himself said, “I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one,” and “As you sent me into the world, so have I sent them into the world,” (John 17:15; 17). We have been sent INTO the world! We are to infiltrate, to permeate every area of society, bringing heavenly influence and introducing Kingdom principles and character into each of our spheres. Some believe their job is not as spiritual or fulfilling as being in ministry, but it is. It’s your area; your mission field. You are there for a reason – it’s not just to provide for you financially. How much of the Kingdom of God you choose to display there is up to you. Will you hide your light and add to the darkness, or will you shine bright and impact this part of the world, increasing the brightness in your area?
I’ve heard people say time and time again, “We don’t operate according to the world’s system,” so they choose to ignore the system altogether. Yes, we are surrounded by worldly systems, and we do not operate according the world’s way of running things, but if we look at some of these things from the beginning, we see that government for instance, was established by God. Communication systems were established by God, education was established by God, the family and marriage was established by God, but the reason they are so corrupt today is because we have given these areas over to the enemy by default. When we fail to take our rightful place, to guard what belongs to us, the enemy is more than happy to take it from us with the intent to kill, steal, and destroy. It’s time to pull our heads out of the sand and quit ignoring what’s going on all around us. It’s time to take back what the enemy has stolen from us!
One final thought, God’s Word tells us that faith without works is dead (James 2:20). God gives us divine strategies to bring forth change in this world, but if we never stand up and go forward as He has commanded, we will not see the answer to our prayers.
“If a brother or a sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in peace, be warm and filled,’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:15-16
