“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1

I had a dream the other night that revealed it is time for the young, hidden ones to be released. Who are these young ones, and why were they hidden away in the first place?

Our family enjoys watching National Geographic shows on various animals, and one can learn a lot from nature. I have learned there are many creatures who will hide their babies away for a time, protecting them from the enemy who is waiting to devour their young.  These little ones are not yet equipped with the strength, knowledge, or ability to confront what awaits them if released too early, and can easily be overcome if not properly trained by their parents.

In regards to the dream mentioned above, there are young ones in the body of Christ who the Father has hidden away for a time.  These youthful ones are both beautiful and unique. They are not patterned after each other, but each has been given his or her own design.  Just as the animal parents protect their young from the danger of releasing them out on their own too soon, these inexperienced ones in the Lord have been hidden away in order to give them a chance to mature, to learn who they are and how to overcome what awaits them.

It is now time for these young ones to emerge!

Most all have heard the phrase, “They’re coming out of their shell,” at one time or another, which describes a person who is becoming more courageous. As these young ones step out from a place of obscurity, they are leaving their shells behind!  They are coming out with a great excitement, with a great fervor! A great impact is to be made upon the older generation as this generation receives them! A mark will be made that cannot be erased.

On a final note, the age of something does not make it relevant, or irrelevant.  God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  The young may be emerging, but the older generation is still as needed, and wanted in the body of Christ as ever before.
